POKEMON GO

The real world has no Pokemon.
We knew it clearly.

The game was released on 6th July 2016 in selected countries, and achieved an overnight success.
More than 10 millions downloads just in few countries on the first damn day it was released.
The story of Pokemon was first watched when I was 12 years old or younger, can't really remember.

Like everyone else, I thought I was the one who has dreamt to catch the Pokemon in the real world until the launch of PokemonGO. There's millions of 80's and 90's having the same dream as I do. Of cause the dream doesn't come true. But the reality in the world doesn't stop a young kid with so much passion and naive thought. It was more than 10 years back when I began to save money buying the Pokemon toys. Each and every Pokemon I bought cost me RM2.00. It was quite costly at the moment, however, I managed to collect more than 100 unit of it by just saving money slow but consistently.

Some of it was given it to my cousins and some of them have lost in action, most of them can't survive until now, seriously it has been 10 years back.

Today's technology has created a lot of incredible new staff, enable us to enjoy higher technology advantage than ever in the history of humanity. Human has came to a new milestone where we look at the world more differently now. If you have a poor sense of direction, Waze can easily downloaded into your cellphone, if you are planning to go for travelling at low budget, AirBnB can offer you a good location with cheap cost, if you are looking for new location for lunch or wanted to visit a new place, you can also use Google street viewing to visit the place visually before the real move. If you ever want to do banking, you don't need to walk to bank anymore, or write a cheque book, All we need is just swiping our phone for lesser than a minute and get things done.

In short, the aggressive progression of TECHNOLOGY has made our life easier and more effective.
Here comes the problem. Human interaction has been minimised. We spent more time on our electronic devices more than ever. We always swipe the screen of the phone to look at the world as it seems more attractive while seeing the particular thing that you interested with.

PokemonGO, It was criticised by many parties saying that the game has made human more addictive into the fake illusion of Pokemon world, or saying that players has more interaction on cell phone instead of interaction with human being. But they didn't know that the fact of human has lesser interaction with human has already occurred long time ago. People will still look at their Facebook, Whatssap, Wechat, or watching Youtube video, or even surfing the web when they got nothing to do.

In my perspective, I think this game has reconnected the human to human interaction. People started to gather in one check points, to catch the Pokemon, it shows a lot of fun and joys when everyone is meeting at one point with one purpose. PokemonGO also lead to healthier life, we need to walk/ run with reasonable speed to be able to collect points. I do walked with my GF to catch Pokemon, and going to different places to visit just to meet new Pokemon! There are more interaction with friends too when we all talked about the game and catching the Pokemon together. Even planning to go for jogging just to check the damn point!

How amazing when the technology has reconnected the human being from another perspective, a POSITIVE perspective. It was created by the creator of one of the most useful technology (Google Map and Google Street View) that helps millions of people  in connecting the world into one piece, His name is John Hanke. Technology has already in our life, We, a young and intelligent human being living in the diversified and a world with massive information, shall keep in touch with all technologies and get hands on it. Enjoy every moment of new and innovating piece of creations. Because every creations there's a big story behind it.

To look at the world differently, and more perspectives, we need to be open minded, and smart, we need know what can we take it as an entertainment and what we should focus on. Most importantly, look at things from the positive aspect.

My childhood dream.
It's still not real.
But, Thank you.
